The Search for a signal

Reminiscent of the days when one needed to adjust the rabbit ears on the tv to get a good signal, which usually involved standing in a certain position in a room...

School session at Jumma Masjid

While touring Mysore, we stopped at the Jumma Masjid in Tipu Sultan's Fort.  School was in session, but that didn't seem to slow down any of the tour guides who would just walk right through.

Tasty Box!

A picture of my Nephew, he is very photogenic, I couldn't stop taking photos of him.  Here he was much more interested in the packaging than the contents!

Charminar

There was a rare occasion where the hallway was empty for a second, yet this guard wouldn't step aside, which has ended up making a more interesting picture I think.

Wellington at Night

Around midnight I went out with Keith to try and capture Wellington and the stars.  The clouds were moving quite quick and never went away...  Oh well, I was only there for 1 night, had to make the best of the weather.

On the return drive from Wellington, the clouds broke while driving past Mount Ruapehu, which with the nearly full moon sparkled on the horizon.

Parrots

Hyderabad Reflection

Today we received the first email marking the final delivery from one of our studios, marking the end of a 4 year long relationship which gave me the opportunity to travel to India multiple times.  This caused me to revisit some of my old photos from some of my earlier trips.  The Photos below were from a trip to the Hyderabad zoo, while we were there a monsoon hit.  We ended up trapped inside the reptile house for about an hour and a half until it let up enough that we could "swim" to the car and actually get out of the parking lot.

Time Traveler

While in Auckland, everyone thought Liam looked like George Carlin as Rufus from Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.  So when we walked by a phone booth...

Sunset Squall

The squall let up just at the onset of Sunset and I was able to snap this Panorama from the roof of Oktobor Studios.  Original resolution 21595 x 3340.

Piha Beach Panorama

This is a view from the road approaching Piha Beach.  The squall had just passed overhead, moving eastward towards Auckland, leaving amazing blue water on the horizon.

Gray Hairstreak Butterfly

I took this picture  in my front lawn, my wife saw him while watering the flowers.  He stopped by for a quick drink.  The iridescence on his wings made him very interesting, these images are straight from the camera, no corrections.

New Zealand Livestock

I was surprised to see more cattle than sheep on my 1100 mile tour of the North Island in New Zealand.  We didn't get too close to much until we stopped at little Bed & Breakfast/Campsite at the head of a Thermal Hike just north of Taupo...  It was a little odd, but the owner offered to sell us the whole shebang for only $400K NZD...
Anyway, they had a sheep, which wouldn't let us get too close, a few Llamas, Peacocks and Chickens.  This little chicken looks like he was trapped in the 80s and acted very confused...

Keith was able to get one of the Llamas to get close, the others were too skittish, and the sheep preferred to eat the grass from the ground...

Oriental Bay, Wellington

In my brief tour of Wellington, we stopped by Oriental Bay for some coffee and Gelato, the Gelato was amazing by the way.  There were patches of sunshine breaking through the clouds, here's the view from the beach.
