Our Hike was stopped short as the Fire Department roped off the area for a rescue of a trapped Hiker. I believe the Hiker was climbing up, not on a trail, and got stuck.

Arts Festival in Danshui

On our last day in Taipei, we took a day trip up to the port town of Danshui which happened to correspond with the 2nd Annual Danshui Arts Carnival put on by the SunSon Theater group. This years theme was to raise environmental awareness as all costumes and floats were created with recycled materials, and it was an amazing parade with over 2000 people in it! Below are just a few of the participants.

It has been a long time...
