The most beautiful place I have ever been to on Earth.

I haven't had much time to update the blog this trip, but the upcoming flight should give me several hours to prepare stuff. We took a day to go visit Taroko National Forest in Haulien, along the eastern coast of Taiwan. It is a famous park where the river has cut the marble that has been thrust up from Plate Tectonics. The minerals in the water make it a deep turquoise which almost makes it not look real.

The water was cool and refreshing, the air crisp, and the views breath taking. More will be available on the Picasa web album soon.

Photos from the Pit

We had lunch at Pitfire on Thursday and the guys were sitting at a table next to us made great subjects.  The guy on the left barely moved, although halfway through lunch he turned 90 degrees so his back was to us, although his expression never changed.

Sunset on Griffith Park ride.

A beautiful sunset to help keep me motivated on going up to the top on a saturday afternoon 21 mile bike ride around the Park.  This ride was 21.18 miles and climbed a total of 1660 feet.  Overall it took an hour and 43 minutes, but that includes all stops for pictures and red lights.  Not riding for three days made it harder on this ride, I wonder how hard it will be after my two week trip overseas...  I guess I'll find out how well the gym exercise bikes compare.
